HNB Assurance (HNBA) and HNB General Insurance (HNBGI) showcased their exceptional sporting prowess by securing the runners-up position at the Division Two Mercantile Football League 2023. The stellar performance throughout the tournament not only solidified their position as formidable competitors but also propelled them into a well-deserved promotion to Division One for the upcoming season.

The HNBA and HNBGI team's journey to the final was nothing short of extraordinary, marked by an unbeaten streak that set the stage for a thrilling championship clash. The final match, which ended with a narrow marginencapsulated the conclusion of their remarkable season.

During the group stages, Team HNBA and were the highest goal-scorers, notching an impressive 10 goals in three matches. M. Nitharshan, a standout player from the HNBA and HNBGI team, further embellished the team's achievements by representing Sri Lanka in the recently concluded FIFA World Cup qualifiers. 

Looking ahead, HNBA and HNBGI gear up for the challenges of division one in the upcoming season, where the organizations eagerly anticipate continued triumphs on the football field.

Team HNB Assurance once again showcased its remarkable sales prowess and performance at the prestigious SLIM National Sales Awards 2023. Hosted by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), the National Sales Awards, is known for its significance and prestige, providing a platform to celebrate those who have excelled in the competitive landscape of sales.

The winners from HNBA included Mr. Mahesh Rodrigo, National Sales Manager 2023 Bronze Award – Overall Industry Category, Ms. Sandya Kumari, Sales Supervisor 2023 Silver Award – Life Insurance Category, Ms. T. Vithiya, Front Liner 2023 Merit Award – Life Insurance Category.

The event, which showcased the company's commitment to its people and their dedication, celebrated milestones, outstanding performances and exceptional talent within the organization.

During the event, long-serving employees were honored for their unwavering contribution to the company's success. The Chairman's Award, a one-time prestigious recognition, was presented to individuals who demonstrated outstanding performances and exemplified the core values of HNB Assurance. Moreover, the efforts of employees who supported lean initiatives and cost-saving measures throughout the year were also recognized for their crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and financial sustainability.
