The annual blood donation camp of HNBA in association with the National Blood Bank was held for its 12th consecutive year in the head office complex of HNBA. Amongst 248 participants from many leading entities, 194 donors qualified for this worthy cause. With an aim to empower women, the Company sponsored an event organized by the Colombo Round Table in order to build a facility to accommodate young woman who have faced sexual, psychological and physical abuse. This facility is able to accommodate 15 girls for a period of 3 months and provides vocational and social skills training as well as career guidance and placement. The Company took an initiative in assisting pregnant mothers who were affected by the recent floods. Packs of essential items were donated to 50 mothers who were stationed in camps in the Matara District due to the devastating floods.
